Fire protection

Safety briefing

The general annual safety briefing helps you to give your employees the most important basics of occupational safety for their everyday work and thereby sensitize them to possible dangers. Because every employee can contribute to a functioning occupational safety in the company.

1 What topics does a safety briefing include?
The contents of a safety briefing vary from company to company. As a general framework, it is recommended to name the legal basis including employer and employee obligations and their respective rights, rights and obligations of the employers' liability insurance association as well as first aid and fire protection. In addition, the following topics can be taught:

4In what intervals must the training be repeated?
First aiders must refresh their training every two years to always be up to date on first aid. According to § 26 paragraph 3 of the DGUV, first aiders must participate in further training within this period. This further training again includes a 9-hour first aid course. It is possible to distribute the nine hours over different dates within the two years.

The legal bases for first aiders in the company are laid down in various regulations and laws. The DGUV Regulation 1 and § 26 of the DGUV are particularly important here. These regulations stipulate who may act as a first aider and how often the training must be repeated in order to guarantee the safety and health of all employees in the company.

The safety officer is often the first point of contact for employees in all occupational safety issues and thus supports the entrepreneur and the managers.

First aider

First aiders can save lives in emergencies! That is why it is important that you are well prepared for emergencies. Our training ensures that you can provide first aid even in an emergency: here you will not be taught dry, theoretical knowledge, but will be specifically trained through practical exercises to care for injured people and initiate initial measures.

1What is a company first aider?
A company first aider is an employee who is specifically trained to provide first aid in the company in the event of accidents. This person plays a crucial role in occupational safety by providing quick and professional help in an emergency until professional rescue workers arrive.
2Who can be a company first aider?
Any employee can become a company first aider, provided that he or she has completed the corresponding training. This training must be carried out by a recognized body, as stipulated in DGUV Regulation 1. In companies with 2 to 20 insured persons, there must be at least one company first aider.
3What are the tasks of a first aider?
A first aider has the task of taking initial measures at the scene of an accident in the event of an accident or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. This includes securing the scene of the accident, assessing the situation, carrying out life-saving immediate measures, caring for the injured person and handing them over to the rescue service. The aim is to stabilize the situation and minimize damage through quick and targeted measures.
